991 GT3 shift speed??

Generally on a turbo car with an automated box the throttle is left open between shifts so no boost is lost.

Boost level is dependent on both throttle position and load on the engine. Pressing the throttle when the gear is not engaged causes boost loss (you don't make any significant boost in neutral, even at redline). Very minimal loss of boost with dual clutch, but there is loss with slush-box auto. And major loss with manual...

LOL - Hilarious thread. If I had to guess - The Porsche is most accurate about its tranmissions shift speeds. They usually underestimate they numbers while Ferrari tends to overestimate their numbers.
There is NO WAY any of the cars listed are shifting faster than a F1 tranmission which is reported to have shift times of 20 - 40 milliseconds. Anything below 200 milliseconds is super fast and much faster than a proper 3 pedal Manual tranny.

Well, the 430 Scuderia actually uses the 2004 Ferrari F1 cars single clutch gearbox which shifts in 60 milliseconds.
Today's F1 cars shift in 20 milliseconds.
This means that the quickest shifts on a street car up until today is a 458 in only 40 milliseconds.
That proves that AP was wrong when he stated that the 991 gt3 shifts quicker then any street legal car!!!
