991 GT3 rs?

It seems that the car will have only PDK option ....
I expect a little bit more 500 HP , I think that they will have to do a little bit more on the body and engine in order for the RS to have any kind of interest .
The new GT3 has already the large body , that was one of the big difference between the 997 GT3 and RS .
I hope an interesting body kit with more aero features and a engine that take 9500 rpm ...

Yes I think that they have the new injection system and don't need to go with the 4.0 to reach 500HP . The 4.0 basis will be used later for a 991 GT3 RS MKII or something like that .
They will have to surprise us with better than a kit of stickers and they know that ...
I will have further informations in the next weeks and will keep you informed .
15 HP more than the GT3 991 is not enough

I know but if it is only 15hp and a set of stickers everyone will go to a GT3 with a proper engine tuning ...
On the 997 the most important point was the large body that makes a huge difference in terms of look ...
I don't understand why they put the large body on the normal GT3 , or the turbo and RS will have a larger one .
I think they put the large body in order to avoid to wait the GT3 RS for the new RSR (the old one was not up to date ...)

So the turbo is wider than the C4S/GT3 body?

Hi Jon,
Youe seem to be a big a GT2 fan...
If there will be a GT2...not sure..in price and performance it would be in 960 level..and Im not sure Porsche would allow that..
What Im trying to say..for me its a 50:50..if there will be a 960..the chances for a 991 GT2 would be sinking..I would guess

the 918 will sit above it in the range with a good spec will come in at " well over " 200k gbp .

The 918 is a fast, but heavy pig. If the 997.2 GT2RS had a PDK, it would have been faster than the current 458 and 12C. If Porsche puts the same amount of engineering know-how into the 991 GT2RS as the rest of the upcoming GT models, it will be knocking on the door of the 918 (if not beating it) performance-wise, and I'm not sure where that will leave the 960.
But I hope you're right, and there will be a new 991(.2?)GT2RS, and its not a dumbed-down, underpowered version in order to make the 960 & 918 justify their pricing structure.

My concern then would be the 960.
