4.0 oil leak

It takes a falcon eye to spot the leak origin in that picture.

However this is a new one because leaking is not one of the failures being reported on the 4.0. Better to get a report on the dealer for warranty purposes if the engine seizes, and have a proper inspection on the causes of that leak.

Where is the oil drain plug on that engine? (I don;t own a porsche)

There are two plugs on that engine. One for the crankcase itself and the other for the oil tank. You can't see either in the pic.

Looks like it dripped down from the oil filler housing. Added oil since new? Nice Akrapovic headers Loved mine.

No never changed oil the car is new.

Got this from a friend.. The text comes from Porsche:
"There is a possibility that a lid that was pressed into and glued to the crankcase is not seated securely enough in the opening on the affected vehicles. This can cause the lid to become loose and as a result, oil can suddenly leak out of the crankcase, resulting in immediate engine damage."

guess this would be fixed under warranty.
No leaks to date on mine

This is a 4.0 specific issue or 3.8's also?

WC 21 is the number of the campain but is a center cap leak.
