I asked you about your opinion because you are GT3/RS driver. If you, as a driver don't enjoy when you play with your manual gearbox on regular traffic (especially changing from 2-3 gear), than its really obvious why is Porsche considering PDK in GT3/RS.

Naturally aspirated engine + manual gearbox + RWD = great driving experience for excellent drivers! You can get nervous sometimes, but you just cent get bored :)

First off, I'm not a GT3/RS driver. You might have me confused with someone else.

However, I HAVE been fortunate enough to have spent a considerable amount of time behind the wheel of both the GT3 (996, 997.1 & 997.2) and GT3 RS (997.2). That being said, I think the number of GT3/RS drivers that would gladly deal with the occasional "hassle" of driving a manual in traffic far outweigh the few that consider it enough of a pain to warrant a switch to PDK.

I didn't include the 4.0 and Club Coupe because they're specific commemorations, but while we're at it there's also the 918 edition.

sean73T 02-17-2012 01:39 AM

Wasn't there a China edition somewhere?

sorry to cloud the issue regarding the mix of road and race cars, it was purley to make a point that the whole game is moving forward,i would still buy the 991 gt3/rs with a manuel but after taking a flat out drive in a 458 last year at our brekfast club, lightning fast gear changes and the howl of the engine it maid me feel a bit lost in the senses dept in my rs, theres a porsche for every market andi feel the rs should be up there!! why do so many people tinker with there cars, suspension mods, new exhaust systems, etc. and please get the build quality issue rigt this time round!!

GTCole 02-17-2012 05:14 AM
