Wrecked GT2 RS, makes you sad!

First GT2 rs that I know of that got wrecked. Crashed while going 180 mph on the Salzburgring race track. Sadly, the driver was killed in Salzburg, Austria. RIP

RIP to the driver.

The driver's compartment looks intact. I wonder what killed him? Based on the pics and the lack of wheels on the car and where it landed, I bet it flipped a bunch of times. My guess would be no HANS device?

may the driver RIP, but it is also very sad to see such a masterpiece dead!

This is a reminder that with great power, comes great responsibility. Even the best cars in the world can be deadly if pushed beyond the limits (weather the car, or driver's limits)

How tragic! May he RIP.
I did 2 driving courses with BMW M Fahrer-Training at Salzburgring few years ago. It did not occur to me as a particularly fast track. There is one sweeping right hand curve after a long straight where high speed is possible. I suspect it must have happened there. Very sad!
