PCM Software Update (Recall)?

PCM Software Update (Recall)?
Picked up my GT2 from service/warranty check, and the service advisor told me there was a recall for the PCM and they updated the entire software. The car went in for service a year ago as well, so if this recall/update is true then it must have happened recently. Anyone know what this entails?

Software updates are very common. They are supposed to fix existing bugs on the system.
Apart from the update done when servicing the car, almost every time you install a new map-upgrade there is a software's update coming with it.
