Cup car on the street?

^ Seeing as there's a cop directing traffic right next to it, I don't think it's street legal
Yes ... well sorta. No heating, ventilation, sound deadening ... or any kind of interior bits really ... and it obviously requires a rebuild every three hours.
Hopefully getting it sorted in the coming weeks.

Guys, in the US Cup Cars are not street legal under any conditions. They are not imported as a car. They are technically a collection of parts. If you get caught driving one on the street they can be impounded.
As far as maintenance, there is a big difference between maintenance for a Cup car in a race series and maintenance in a DE/Track day environment. For Race series, the engine refresh interval is $25k every 35 hours. Plus running costs of $2k for hour. For DE's/Track days, you can easily get to 100+ hours and then do a $15k refresh. Running costs drop down to a new set of slicks every 10 hours or so, plus brake pads. Not really too bad.

Racing really is a different world. It can cost you up to $25k per weekend to run a series.
