I know that a thread was started earlier regarding the new 918 Spyder but I don't know if deposit and order information was in that thread before it was closed.

Initial deposit on car is 200k and is NON-Refundable. Sure wish it was 50k like the C-GT was

I respect the performance of this car but I must say I am not happy with the price point. I was really hoping for the 500-600k range.

IMO nothing will ever match the Carrera GT. The sound, the looks, the feeling, the wmotion, and the pure brutality. My favorite Porsche.

it's only after the second 200k installment when the car is in production that it's non-refundable?

 

The first 200K is refundable. The second 200K is due when the car is one year from production when it is locked and there is no refund. When you are within one year your 400K is Porsche's money. Period.

do you at least get some type of interest on that money? Seems like a big nut to loan the dealer for close to 2 years interest free.
