It has nothing to do with how good the car is. The issue is it was released in the worst economy we've had in 80 years. Possibly ever.

Was having this discussion with some others a week ago. It's funny how spoiled we have become. Back in my day, 250hp from the factory was mindblowing.

that's interesting. and sad if true.

over here in the Philippines, the Porsche importer got anallocation of two cars, which were immediately sold (local MSRP of about $US 365k)

i just spoke with him (the importer) because a friend of mine was interested in acquiring one. he tried to get another one from Germany, but was told none were available.

if there's a bunch sitting on US showrooms, that's a cryin' shame...

In the Porsche's world (at least this side of the pond) the GT2 RS received a very cold welcome...
Several OPD in my country got contacted several times from the importer in order to find customers fo it: the car was simply not requested.
At the end of the day it is a normal GT2 with an older engine (3.6!!!) which does not even supply the declared power...
Those CF parts do not help to make it more attrcative in my opinion...
All this resulted in several cars being sold with hard discounts and second hands GT2 RSs already for sale with a big depreciation...

QFT! I don't know how much more people expect from this car. I saw one at the dealer this weekend, and it is truly something special.

You don't buy a GT2 RS for other people, you buy it for yourself and the love of driving.

Who cares what others think.
