Wow, I like the VW group engine boss!



Better sound, higher revs, more emotion, more GT3, everyday drivability throughout the entire 911 range!? Count me in!

I just hope the manual transmission will survive.

According to CAR Magazine, the next generation 911 models will still have manual, but it won't be a 6MT, it will be a 7MT (the 7th gear solely for efficiency). I imagine it being on the right side of the H pattern separated from the rest of the gears, just as reverse is to the left, separated. As long as we get a manual transmission, I'm happy.

I think what he means is the GT3 will have a 7 speed manual transmission.

gents there will be a 458 and maclaren competitor . it will be mid engined and priced between the gt 2 and the 918 . twin turbo v8 or variation of lmp2 cars naturally aspirated engine will be used .
