To be realistic, any Carrera GT would be long out of it's warranty period and if something goes wrong, it will hit your pockets hard.

With the McLaren you will still get a good couple years of hassle free maintenance.
Mike,

Any updates on that "new" CGT you got? You have 2, right?

And, from a maintenance perspective, a tech certified to work on a CGT is a dime a dozen, right?

I wish Only have 1 and I've never driven it

I'm sure there are a few in the States, but it will only be a handful. Not just anybody can work on these cars. We only have 1 certified person in my whole country that is authorized to work on them.

Check this thread https://teamspeed.com/forums/gt/2746...-must-see.html which has to be done every 4 years and it's not cheap.

No it's not the tech's though almost all dealers have CGT certified. It's having the tools necessary to actually work on them.

Mike, as an owner of the CGT, what is making you not drive it? Or just you haven't had the opp.? I would imagine with the fantastic stable amount you have, you'd be driving it more often. Do you have any pics of her? I hope you get the opp. to drive it sometime...

Ah, gotcha.

Go drive the damn thing! Is it still sitting at the dealer?

And yes, I've seen that thread. Really puts the build quality of the CGT into perspective.

I don't want to go off topic, but the car only has a few miles on the odometer and has not been PDI'd yet. It still has all the plastic and cardboard covers on the car since it left the factory. It's the last true brand new CGT outside the factory I would imagine.

You better get the damn wraps off when my wife and I head down for a bbq I'm taking her out on some unmolested highways that I've never seen
