iv got an rs and iv driven a std gt3 and i felt the opposite regarding torque, i thought the rs jumped quicker when floored at low rpm from 2nd or 3rd gear, but the diference is very minimal to have me complain bout either,

The RS's shorter gear ratio should help with its higher up power band

Thanks for the write up, I found this very interesting as well. I was looking to trade my 06' Cayman S in for a 2010. Only mods I had on my 06 at the time were racing seats and a simple cat-back exhaust. Long story short, the 2010 PDK CS felt impossibly slower than my current one with Tip . I'd mash the throttle and nothing was there. I wasn't babying the '10 either. Only thing I liked were the wheels and the shifting speed of the PDK, besides that, I found no reason why I should even consider trading in. So I left with a smile on my face and just went far down the mod road in the '06.

Anyways, I always thought it would be a bad idea to drive the new versions of cars. However, in some cases it allows the prospective buyer to realize what they're not missing instead and helps to not justify the huge price difference from depreciation of the current car.

Oh and post some pics of the current GT3!
