Exactly... who knows any more?
Continuing with speculations...: other infos say that this should be THE LAST 997 presented, we know already a Silver Edition is on the way... could it be the one presented in April?
According to some rumours the LE should be presented in Dicember together with the first 991 (for which production will begin with MY2012 in July/August)....

No more info!!!!
That suggests $159k retail price based on differential between standard RS prices in France and US.

It seems the LE will be the last GT3 only offered with a 'traditional gearbox'. This is a quote taken from EVO's interview with Wolfgang Hatz, VW Group Engine Boss. When asked whether the next-generation GT3 will have PDK, he replies;

"We have to do something with the GT3 manual transmission, but the problem with the current PDK is weight. So we will work on it to remove as much weight as possible."

He goes on to say that PDK is a long term transmission solution for Porsche and the variant in the coming 911 is a big step forward.

^Oh I agree and especially when the hallowed GT3 is involved. But it's inevitable

I love the manuals, and hope they are at least an option. But a lightweight PDK GT3 would be amazing.

In a perfect world (for me at least) the GT3s PDK would involve a cup-like sequential shifter. However, this may not be feasible for a road car.

I just think paddles take a lot of the fun out of it despite the fact that they're faster on track.
