The latest news is that it's going to get:

RSR Bodywork
Carbon Hood
Larger Spoiler
Improved Gearing

And, this just confirmed by another forum... A FLAT 8 engine! They claim it's based on the Mezger block, highly reworked, with two cylinders lopped on. This allows the engine to produce more power while not at maximum capacity. That means better efficiency.

Sorry, but you are so far off you should tell your source to spend a little extra money to get a better quality of whatever it is that he smoked before he gave you the biggest bunch of BS I heard in the last 18 months. Not even remotely close. If your just dropping an April fools, my apology, but otherwise, way, way off.
With Carrara's knowledge of Porsche, he knows better, 100% positive it's due to April 1.
