Given the benchmark Porsche has set with the GT2RS I can't imagine they would put out a disappointing limited edition 3RS, regardless of an homologation play or not. Add to that, the likes of the MP4-12C and other great cars are spoiling enthusiasts for choice this year.

Porsche is having a relatively good year in the market. Hopefully, when it's ready, they deliver a worthy capstone NA 997.
