It's funny how various forms of information travel around, usually becoming true, and how the dealers usually know less than the general public.
I got the info from the PCNA regional sales manager too, he was the one on the conference call... I am sure we should get official word soon.

I like your call better than mine. The target keeps moving.

I have seen the letter- says delivery on East Coast. I would guess there will be two track deliveries available East and West and respective dealers got the respective E/W. No idea on total numbers though.

The track delivery is fully paid for by Porsche and the dealer. Otherwise gets a dealer delivery on Feb 19. No deliveries before Feb 19th. Car delivered at track event may be driven home.

Nice avatar. My wife's car.

Below is copy and paste from the email I received. Interesting:

Certain other special terms and conditions will apply to sales of the GT2RS. The GT2RS will have, nationally, a single point-of-sale date for all customers - Saturday, February 19, 2011. No tourist deliveries are possible with this car. We are also offering all customers a one-day, complimentary GT2RS driver training and vehicle orientation program at a driving venue on the West Coast, tentatively scheduled for February 11, 12, 13 or 14. This event will allow customers to test their cars and receive professional driving instruction in a controlled environment, hosted by Porsche. The initial pre-delivery will be managed by PCNA. Transportation of each customer’s GT2RS to the training, and then to the Dealership for final delivery to the customer, will also be paid for by PCNA.

There you go, they are doing two different venues in the same time frame. East Coast and West Coast. If I were a betting mang, I would say Barber and Laguna Seca.

If all the paperwork has been done by the dealer, it can be driven home from the event.
