I've noticed that the finish on the MACarbon pieces look more like a matte finish. Was that done on purpose?

I have some CF pieces in my TT and honestly, they're a bit too small to really see how the quality would be. I haven't noticed the "orange peel" effect either. I did have a steering wheel from TechArt and the clearcoat cracked 4 times on me due to the inner core expanding from the heat on hot days. I finally gave up and went with leather instead. What a PITA that was.
