Sequential Shifter

I am new to the forum, and have been driving a GT3 with a Sequential Shifter for the last 3 years (it's AWESOME). On previous threads, I noticed that there were a lot of questions/misinformation about the shifter. [Mod Edit: Please become a forum sponsor before advertising on our site. Thanks!] The shifter is compatible with 996 Cup cars, 996/997 GT3's, GT3RS's, GT2's and Turbos.
It is a Sequential shifter and not a sequential gearbox, thus it does require clutching, both up and down. It can be used for track and street driving. The benefits are faster shifts, no mis-shifts (expensive over revs), improved lap times, & mid corner shifting. There are no modifications to OE, so the car can be returned to a stock shifter at any time if desired.
It takes a qualified technician approximately 6 hours to install. Once installed and adjusted correctly, it needs no further adjustments or maintinance with use.
Once you try one, ESPECIALLY on a track you will NEVER go back to an H pattern! It is AWESOME! Around Sebring, my home track, it is about a second a lap faster than with a standard shifter.
We also use a Sequential shifter on our GT3RS Rally car, with a close ratio box. It is Constantly getting shifted, and we have never had a problem after 3years of racing.

Hope this is helpful to you!

Welcome to the Team, Amy! It's great to have you here.

You seem to like P-cars an awful lot!

Welcome OP. Major P car fan it seems.

I'm still a little skeptical this will be a real member and not just a 1 post attempted ad.. but welcome

Hi and welcome.

One question I have is: How is this sequential better for mid corner shifting? It seems to me that this will upset the balance of the car just as much as a normal mid-corner shift, as you still have to depress the clutch to change gears, thus cutting power to the wheels.

I took out the "sales" language from the post.

No worries. I have no problem chatting about the shifter.

Just no company names and/or addresses.
