Is it silly to want a GT3 if it probably won't see the track?

I have an '07 turbo and I really like this car...basically as new w' only 7k miles on it, BUT I find myself so in love with the looks of the GT3. Thing is; would I be wasting my time since it probably would never see a track? Can't have both so the turbo would have to go....what do you guys think?

Nothing wrong with that, especially if you have no needs for the rear seats, ie little kids. Go for it, certainly a more visceral experience than the tt.

Nothing wrong with that, only problem will be the depreciation hit on your TT. You'll have to decide if the extra $ are worth it.

gt3 is much more of a track car, imo its a waste if ur not gonna track it, and the ride is not as road friendly, have had a few customers make this switch only to regret it.... i vote keep the turbo

I'd go for the GT3 any day, but I'm not a big fan of turbocharged cars. Naturally aspirated please.

If it's just the look you're after you can always just order the gt3 body panels you like and do a swap. Then you'll get to keep the TT (which is a lot more comfortable) and you'll have the looks of the gt3. Best of both worlds?

If you end up getting a gt3... Please do take it to the track at least once :-)
Otherwise it would be like having an African Lion as a house pet, never seeing it in it's natural environment.

Good luck.

+1. That is among my top reasons for loving the GT3. Normal Aspiration Por Favor!

My opinion would be go for the 3... I want one and would never track it as well. It gives you the feel and sound of the "Old School" porsches. Many have invested in a GT3 and have never tracked the machine. Tighter, more responsive and better looks than a TT, i.m.h.o.....~Pops
