07-08 gt3... whats fair market value?
Hey guys, I'm officially in the market for a gt3. I wanted to ask the board, see what everyone thought prices should be like on the 07-08 gt3's.
From what I have seen, the prices seem to be all over the place.
Found an 08 with PCCB, and every other factory option and 7k miles for 90k... but also am seeing 07's with 13k miles and no pccb or navi for 93k.
Thanks in advance.

Should be in the 80's.
And actually, you can get a 996 GT2 for 80 something also.
Oh, and I would be happy to lend you my paint meter. It is an absolute must since a lot of these cars were crashed.

The FJ is is just about sold, so I'm really looking into the gt3's. the 08 I was talking about above sounds like an absolute steal, compared to some of the other cars I have found.
An 08 with 7k miles, PCCB, navi, 2 extra front lips, and an extra set of tires for 90k. Sounds like a great deal. The guy did mention he is a track instructor, and has tracked it a few times. Which is the only thing holding me back from going after it agressively.
wish me luck

I was at Porsche of Downtown LA and they had 2 used GT3's on their lot. Not sure if they still have them, but it wouldn't hurt calling them.

I will say it again, do not buy any used car without paint metering it.
Let's just say that I learned the hard way.
Meter doesn't lie, people do.
Oh, and make sure that you get a computer read out confirming that there is no type 3 over rev.

Just for the people that don't know what paint metering is... like me
can you explain what exactly it does?thanks.

So, basically you take readings at different spots on one panel, make note of them. Move on to the next panel, and the next, and compare the readings.
No bodyshop can duplicate the factory painting process and the factory thickness, so if any panel was repainted, the meter will tell you.
And if the seller doesn't disclose it, what else is he not telling you?
Lastly, if car was clearbraed, look for execto knife marks. There are a lot of crappy installers out there that actually cut the clearbra while it is on your car. And other than Premier, I have not seen anyone that can do this without cutting into the paint.
And yes, again, I learned it the hard way. People f'ing suck.
