i meant that if you are buying white, why would you pay to wrap it in white also? yeah the whites are different but it's not a dramatic change to merit the cost of wrapping the car.
i would order the car in your second favorite color, maybe a blue (I reckon you liked that) that is not custom ordered, then wrap it in white.. so you essentially maximize the wrap $$ and get 2 completely different colors.
enjoy blue for a while, then go white... tired of white? back to blue...

yeah i just got what you meant after i posted... i agree, but i think if i do a vinyl wrap a matte or pearl white would look better on white paint since the inner panels and stuff not wrapped would match and it wouldnt be obvious that there was a wrap.
ive seen a matte black wrap on a yellow 996 that has some exposed yellow parts which although are not that obvious, can be seen if pointed out.
i am def getting white paint. i dunno if i should go with a clear bra or vinyl wrap though...

i think newer clear bras wont fade.
depending on where you are located, there are some sponsors that do full-body wraps that guarantee against fading IIRC.
it'd be cheaper... so, i'd go that route over paying $$ for a slightly different shade.

which seats are standart?

if you mainly use the car on track, I think you should get the 997 GT3 seats with clubsport package and harnesses.

if daily, gt2 seats are the best way to go.

Either way, good luck.. Looking forward to see your photos and comments. I myself might pick one up next year for some serious tracking

standard seats are the sports seats. i looked at the new gt3 seats and would never get them, they do look cool but would not even be an option for daily driver non track car.
my brother has the clear on his carrara white and it did yellow, but that was a year ago and i know our installer uses a new product. hopefully premier will be in town when i get my car, does anyone know if they have an LA facility now?

^ i would almost guarantee that there is a high-end reputable clear bra installed in the greater LA area...

Wouldn't it make sense to get the car in your #1 color ( especially if its white, resale ) and then wrap it in your 2nd fav color, which is probably less resellable than white?

financially, yes. but these cars arent just investments. that means he'll spend his ownership with his second favorite color. yikes...

i think i'd get the car in a color that is nice and easy to sell, then wrap it in my favorite color.
if those happen to be the same.. clear bra.
