interesting...

if this is indeed true than porsche seem to be taking the upcoming nissan gt-r v spec as a serious threat. would love for this car to become a reality.

The GT2 is not 100K more expensive car than the Turbo. It should be priced close to the Turbo, and they will sell a lot more of them.

The secondary market obviously agrees with me, as the premium that the GT2 has over Turbo is quite small.
I agree 100% - it's a totally different buyer for the GT2 and Turbo (though I'm sure some Turbo owners would "reach" for a GT2 now if they could afford it). It's a similar thing to the Carrera 4S buyer and a GT3 buyer. Similar pricing, totally different car. Personally, I like to get the sportiest version of whatever I can buy. My base Cayman has been the exception to the rule. That said, if I could afford a GT2, I'd buy one.

If mine didn't have so many miles and the buyout wasn't so insanely expensive compares to today's market, I would have kept it.

At best, my 42K mile GT2 is worth 55K on a good day, but the buyout is close to 90K!?!?!

They are hovering around 70 to 80 for a driver's car with less than 30K miles, and over 100K for cars with less than 5K miles.

I love the color you put on the wheels. Don't like the rs logo on the spoiler though.

I think the pricing helps it remain exclusive which I like.

Porsches are pretty exclusive already. We are a jaded bunch, but Porsches are not at all common. To me, Porsche can keep their "exclusive" tag on cars like the Carrera GT. Price and sell the GT2 around $150K (like a GT3 RS), and I'd buy one. $200K is just too much...

+1 wtf? That would be on the verge on undriveable with another 50ponies... The 911 GT2 wasn't named 'the widowmaker' for nothing, this will be nuts.
