is the CLUTCH MASTER covered by warranty?

so my GT3 is at my dealer getting RMS fixed under warranty.

while there, they noticed that the clutch master was leaking, and said it needs to be changed. they also said that the part is NOT included as part of the Porsche warranty, as it is a "wear" part.

the part is fairly inexpensive, so its not a huge deal (though WTF, my car has 5k miles on it, so what's with the part failing already)...

i just want to know if Porsche in other countries cover this part...

thanks in advance guys

5K miles isn't normal for a clutch master cylinder. Something isn't right. I know Porsche is not Honda, but there is no way it can wear that fast.

yeah i'm pretty sure about that. but would it be covered under Porsche's warranty? if their policy is that it is a wear part and therefore not covered, then that's that. at least its not a huge expense and i'll chalk it up to bad luck. i guess i just wanna know if the treatment is pretty uniform.

i had a shock absorber on the same car go bad with only 2k miles on the clock, and i never hit any bad bumps or potholes or abuse the car. luckily THAT was covered by warranty.

thanks!

The clutch master is NOT a wear item! Clutch plates are, much like brake pads, but the master does not wear!! It may need new seals after 30+ years, but it will not wear!
They're trying to take you for a ride since it has the word "clutch" in it.
