Mercedes-Benz Takes Us Through Six Generations Of The SL In Hollywood

Starting with the divine 300SL up to the newest model in 2012, the Mercedes-Benz SL and Hollywood have been inseparable for 60 years. Mercedes-Benz Reporter Matthew traveled to LA to check out all these automotive stars right on Oscar night and got the most special ride of his life in the Californian hills.

Mercedes-Benz fittingly chose the recent weekend of the 84th Academy Awards to introduce the new 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL550 to an exclusive audience. This new addition to the family is already in talks for upcoming movies – continuing the long tradition of Hollywood’s love affair with this sleek character.

my dad had an '87 560SL. when he used to go out of town i would jack it and cruise around. i was pimpin' in high school. LOL

 

I love all the generations!

 

My favourites are the W113 280 SL Pagoda, 300SL , R107 and the R129.
