I'd take a 328i coupe over a GTI any day of the week.

Oh wait, I did.

With the fold down seats I took me and two ladies to Montreal....With a bike, keg and all of our food/clothes. I think the avg. fuel consumption was 7.9L/100k (27mpg for you yanks)

Just for giggle you should test drive a (fairly new) used R32. They sound like mini supercars and pull nicely in every gear.

I'm putting down around 310 at the crank, so I'm guessing about 275-280 at the wheels. I have about the same power to weight ratio as an Audi S5 which is quoted to 60 at 4.9s. I'm probably completely off with this, but the exhaust and air filters made it feel noticeably faster haha.
