What are the weight/power numbers are you aiming at?

I want to be around 1800-2000 pounds with around 700-800hp

Did you consider doing a LSx series motor? The 2JZ is of course a great swap, usually if you want huge number you do one or the other.

I have a 1JZ-GTE in the shop, but it's the correct motor for the Soarer conversion (getting R154 5-speed right now).

I thought about it as well as a 03-04 cobra motor but if I went v-8 in would be n/a.. I wanted to keep it import..

My old roommate had a FD RX-7, an LS1, and all of the conversion parts to put it together.... He got accepted to a very good art school in GA (SCAD), and sold the project before it ever went together.

a part of me died that day.


Good luck with the build, NEVER GIVE UP!! This car is going to be fantastic.
