This buyer can easily afford the 7 Series, but doesn't require the almost limousine size that is used to transport high profile political dignitaries, corporate executives, and A list celebs. This customer is probably one who favors bespoke tailored suits over off the shelf or a made to measure Zegna. One who wants to stand out a bit in the crowd and not blend in with a 5 Series (nothing against the 5er as it is a beautifully designed sedan).

BMW did a great job and it will sell. It is elegant and sporty with exceptional driving dynamics. I can picture many of these on the road in places like the NY Tri State and Chicagoland areas - especially with xDrive. Global demand for high end consumer products is up so why not capitalize on it from a business standpoint.
great post - spot on

Very good looking car. I feel a little bit like when I first saw the first CLS, which to me still is one of the best looking cars ever. The new CLS doesnt do it for me and the A7 is far from being pretty (of course just my own taste here) this how ever is different. Like it a lot and looking forward to see some other colors and also the M version.

Sure is pretty, but it isn't a coupe, or a Gran Coupe whatever that means.

That interior is something else too!
