Any years of Mini Cooper S to avoid, and what gremlins to look out for?

Get an 06 Mini MCS (R53). A friend of mine has one and it's a fun little car. Supercharger gives it loads of character and strong top end power. Make sure to put a pulley on it to wake up that eaton. Gearbox is another forte, made by getrag and literally bulletproof.
