What Should I Do?

Thanks.
Climate is not an issue - I live in Atlanta. No cab though - ruins the roofline and detracts from dynamics.
I have neither the time nor the skills to work on a car, unfortunately.
I'm just torn as to whether I should wait a bit longer for a GT3, although I might feel self conscious driving one at a young age.

My only concern is the true daily drivability of the car. I don't need or want a concours car - I want something that I can drive everyday without having to worry about huge, unexpected repair bills. I drive short distances during the week - a mile or two of stop-go at a time, with longer trips on the weekends, so I'm concerned about the engine's oil consumption, among other things.

Right. I think 993 says "enthusiast" without the likelihood of coming across as just some rich douche, which 997/991 could depending on the driver.

Precisely. As great as dailying a 997 would be, you would absolutely absolutely get comments and some states that weren't wanted just for the fact that your young and have that car. You get the 993, those are gone.

well,..fvck the comments..
with a 993 you`d get comments as well,for sure
like...ah,..nice car,is it your uncles/dads ride? etc
oh and concerning the V8 M3 never becoming a classic
I guess we should talk about that in 2020 again when the emmys have 4 Cylinder tri turbo engines with hybrid technology on board and a continuous variable gearbox plus some speakers to make up the good ol V8 sound
with a 993 you`d get comments as well,for sure

What about a '01-'02 BMW Z3 M Coupe? It's got the rarity, fun factor, and can definitely be driven reliably every day. The looks may not be for everyone but it's definitely a special car and with only 700 built, you'll have no problem selling it for at least what you paid for it down the road.
Just something to think about...

ask a 20 something guy that actually drives his like he stole it. Let em talk you'll never hear them over the sound of that metzger GT3 beast!
