You have to understand how cheap my Dad is. When the new GC came out, we both loved the looks and the interior. So he traded his Range Rover in for a 2011 model, and bragged for months about how they gave him cash when he traded in his RR (I'm sure he got killed on the deal). And he is the last one on earth to ever admit that a less expensive car is not as good as a more expensive one, or that he should have kept his Range Rover in the first place. But he just ordered another RR last week. He has been fed up with the build quality on the Jeep since the first week, and we have probably owned 15-20 Jeeps in our family. Nothing debilitating, but it always has rattles, broken knobs, electrical gremlins, etc.

Have you considered the Land Rover LR4? Kind of a chick car, but great cars nonetheless.

Get the Jeep! They are much more versatile than VW. They are great on the offroad. In addition, the SUV will provide more space and comfort.

Don't do it Hani. I drove in one a few weeks back. For a V8, the car is slow as hell! The interior was quite average in terms of finish despite the price.

Rather get an entry level Cayenne if you can stretch the budget a bit.
