Troopers pull over 223 drivers for hogging passing lane

One of the concerns for enforcing the law is aggressive drivers who get frustrated at the slower traffic in front of them and, as a result, dart from lane to lane to get by other cars.

Wanna know who one of the biggest offenders are around here? Bikers. Every single one of them. Crotch rockets and Hogs alike. WTF? You'll dart in and out of traffic like an ass when it suits you but cruise in the passing lane and not get the F&*K outta my way when I'm clearly behind you? This is not a generalization. Every f*#king time.

+1. Off-topic, but my favorite thing that bikers do is drive in between lanes to beat traffic and get to the front at a red light.

No I do not want to share my lane that I can barely fit in with you.
No I do not want you leaning into my lane.
No I do not want you weaving through traffic when I go to change lanes.
Best part is, if I hit them, it's MY fault.
/rant.

Would be nice if this were regular enforcement instead of the usual "making a difference!" headline grabbing. Pull over 300 idiots, and tomorrow it's back to the usual. 200 let off with warnings? BS.
I've never once, in a decade and a half of riding a bike, seen one clog up a passing lane or camp in front of a clearly faster car. Not once, in 40,000 miles across a dozen states.
We blast around traffic for a number of reasons. They are, in order:
1) We can. Traffic sucks, and you would too if you could.
2) 98% of the driving public are unaware we exist, because they have the attention span and situational awareness of a diced carrot. The sooner we get the hell away from such people, the better chance we have of not being killed by them.
3) Being stuck in traffic on a 90+ degree day on a bike in gear is quite a lot different than sitting in a car with the A/C blasting. Bikes get hot. Air cooled bikes get REAL hot. Hence, if we have the choice between lane splitting and getting some air over the bike (and us) or sitting behind some retard while they text their friend, eat lunch, put on makeup, do their hair, change clothes, screw with the radio, etc, etc, etc-- you can bet we're going to do the former.

If you hit anything, it's your fault. If something hits you, it is theirs. Any motorcyclist playing with a full deck doesn't want to be near you any more than you want to be near them. In slow traffic, especially in CA, they want to and can legally get around you by just about any means possible.

Flash 'em, lay on the horn, whatever works. Some riders are dense idiots, just as the majority of people in cars are.
