H1 FTW; not even close to being a decision if i had to make one.

So what else will you do with this vehicle besides drive it around the farm? While a Hardtop H1 will be warmer and easier on the family comfort wise in snow rain sleet and crap weather if you drive it to any size town you'll never be able to park it. D90's are perfect 4x4's for me with the kids but the wife hates it. She wouldn't much like the look at me of the H1 either but at least it has a few creature comforts to keep her warm. D90's don't have creature comforts. They are great bada$$ jeeps. How big is your family? How many kids? My D90 with 3 good size teenagers is full to the hilt.

ss7 Damn where can you drive that thing?

Why not get a new Landcruiser? An X5? A Q7? An ML?

Well other than those meet none of the criteria those are great choices........

a cj8 can be built for much less than the two main topics in this thread. a brand new crate engine would be far superior to the engines in the 90 or the h1... also, a jeep is lighter than the other two, thus getting stuck is less likely.

to answer you, id get the d90 and deal with the expense and maintenance issues over the h1's...

That is exactly what I am looking for. It is something that is made to get dirty. It can sit out in the weather. I can get some scratches in the paint and not care.
