V70r

You can get a 6-spd in the 5-series wagons. It's rare, but definitely available. Actually, a 5-series with a stick shift is probably way more common than a V70R, especially if you're looking for one with a stick.

I love it. Friend of mine had one a few years back. It felt a lot faster from the passenger seat then the driver seat though ...
. I guess Volvo's aren't that common where you live but in Sweden it's/was the perfect sleeper.

Nice to keep the miles off the "nice" car too.

Hm. I'm not overly impressed with them - it was Volvos first attempt ever to make a "performance" car and it's fairly so-so a far as the Four-C suspension, brakes and performance is concerned. It isn't particularly quick either so it's not a bargain at all IMO. A V70 T5 with a 300 dollar chip is the exact same car with a better ride but sans the spiffy blue gauges . . .
Although if you insist, make sure you get a 6spd. The Geartronic is jerky . . .
Why aren't you looking at the A6 Quattro? It's better at evvvvvvverything.

No manual on the fun engines. Plus I've done the Audi thing before. Plus there's a certain absurdity to blasting down a desert interstate at supra-legal speeds in a Volvo station wagon
The stealth factor of these things is off the chart.
