But be careful about any dealership that says they will install mods that still have factory warranty. Get it in writing.

I for one, would never buy a modded truck/jeep from a dealer.

before I was into cars I loved trucks still do as a matter of fact. Seeing what the dealers put into a lifted truck did not impress me. They usually go for the cheapest lift kits you can get and then charge double what it actually costs to get it done. Total rip off in my opinion.

If there is a 4 Wheel Parts Performance Shop in your area, they do a great job. They also have a wide variety of lift kits, wheels, gears, and whatever else you need to get it done right.

Tell your buddy that he will spend just as much on a lifted vehicle in the end if he takes his stock jeep to a place like 4 WHeel Parts but he will have far superior parts on his vehicle, for the same price or less.

I had 4 Wheel Parts drop my Duramax off the lift with only 8 miles on it. It still comes down to the shop & who runs it.

I had a Toyota that the dealer installed a Rancho lift on for me. I have a GMC now that the dealer does all ProComp & the warranty is WAY better then a 2-bit shop. I also watched them install a Corvette crate motor into a 1/2 ton.

It all depends on who/what you know. I know every dealer in town & a lot of shops so it's easy for me to do. Bottom line, find someone you trust b/c shit always goes wrong when you mod stuff. Simple or not.
