Option 1, no contest. When you have a warehouse, there's always room for another car . . .

Option one for sure. Like Al says, it (can) function as so much more than a garage. You could effectively make it a secondary living space or even let it act as a functional garage (as opposed to car storage).

Thank you all for your posts…
I am not looking to have no more than 8-10 cars, I will have two spots attached to the house and then Option 1 or 2...

Option 1 will be a 10 by 21 meter area there will be no columns. If I remember right each car requires 24 meters-squares (to approach and park) in a private parking structure. Thus I can part 8-9 cars without lifts and double that with the lifts.

Option 2 will be 4 to 5 ports with the possibility of adding lifts to double the capacity

It doesn't have to be one or the other!

Anything more than 4 doors doesn't look pretty IMO, but having a warehouse with attached garage makes sense.

I wouldn't want to wrench or wash a car in the same space as other precious ones.

Always been a fan of carriage house style garages ... with a modern twist.

Add a similarly styled barn/warehouse next to that, and you're all set. Still looks great, and plenty of space.

Option one seems more functional... Especially if you want to use car lifts and air tools. Better than having to maneuver between cars or move cars around as needed.

Past some of your comments to my guy for a quick draft drawing and this is what I got. To give you a sense of scale please note that each triangle is a 3x3x3 meter triangle

That area to the left is mislabeled… it should read lounge and the partitions should be glass.

Thoughts?

The only problem with that layout is you have nearly 40% of the floor space allocated to access to the remaining 60%. I am not an architect, and haven't a clue to how to do this better, but it seems like a lot of wasted space.
