PS3 Netflix 5.1 surround mystery solved
It's programming dependent.

I just watched the TNG Secret Yosemite and you could choose 5.1 under the audio option.

When you say 'under the audio option', where are you doing that? In the popup menu?

When you select the movie, if 5.1 is available, there will be an additional option under the popup menu called "audio."

Try it on the title I posted, and you'll see.

Ok, so this would be when you're actually selecting the movie/program to play from the menu. I'll check it out, thanks.
