Macbook + Monitor Question

I'm looking at getting a monitor for my home office so I can hook my macbook up to it when I'm there. I'm looking at a 17" display right now...may step up to a 19/20" depending on price. But my question is what cord or cords will I need and will I be able to plug my keyboard and mouse into the monitor and will it work through my macbook?

Thanks

You'll need an Apple Mini-DVI to Video Adapter (M9319G/A). Yes, if your monitor has built-in USB connectors, you can plug your keyboard and mouse into it as long as you run a USB cable from the monitor to the MacBook.
