"Honestly if what Mark mostly does is browse the web and such, there is no reason for him to spend the money and re-learn Apple products. HP/Dell typically have way too much factory installed software for my tastes, Lenovo is not quite as bad"
Unless you're retarded anyone can figure out the difference between pc and mac operations. I have the lowest price mbp and I guarantee that it is faster to turn on and use then any pc out there. Plus it won't break within the first year. Pc= crap.

Ok this thread has now just confused me
I was hoping for 10 people saying this is the shit get it LOL
I know Kuzi has an IMac deal and he complains about it more than says anything good.
I liked the idea of the GoogleChrome Laptop that has instant startup and sounds to be pretty cool but it's new.
What I like so far about what I have heard is the newer Laptops are becoming much faster for on and off. I do also like these Thinkpad and Asus ideas that come without all the preloaded crapola.
As people have stated I will never "game" with it. The heat is or isn't a big deal because I have one of those pillow/desk deals to hold it. I do like the no heat.
PC's do tend to dump and crap out fast but I've not known enough people that owned Apple products long enough to have a fair comparison. My latest Dell has been good for the 3 years I've had it. Sheesh or longer. I think I bought it early 07'. So it's not been a bad deal. Just getting slower and slower everytime I use it.

I've gone thru no LESS than 4 Dell laptops. I'm typing on one right now (Inspiron with Core 2 Duo Processors) with less than a year on it.
It sucks.
Get something else.

Best Laptops (PC) brand I have owned is Lenovo, I went thru countless numbers of Dell, HP and Sony. Lenovo comes with the lease crap on it. I say MAC is still the route but Mark is you go PC buy a Lenovo 410 thats what I would do if I wasn't using a MAC
