My wife's work T410 build quality seem to be on par with the T61p that I am tying on right now.

Speaking of which, I gotta buy the extended warranty for the T61p...

If you check google you will find too much about poor build quality....crack in palm rest, screen etc.

I tried to find a comparison I read earlier, but unfortunately I couldn't find it ;o(

I also talked to a guy who sells them and he said they are getting lots more complaints than with the old T61.

Anyway....I guess it's still one of the best anyway ;o)

There seems to be a batch of bad ones on the T510's, but it is isolated, and you can always return it and get a new one. I did look into this, and the issue is not a design flaw, but a supplier issue.

Someone did a flex test by picking it up on the HD palm rest corner and it did not flex.

Same with the W510, no flexing, and same thickness as the T61p.
