So far I'm glad I listened to Chris and got it. I'm diggin it so far and only have done the licenses. Very glad I traded in Black Ops for it. GameStop guy told me so many are returning that BO that they don't want to even take it on trade anymore. CRAZY!!!

Are any of the cars with getting all gold worth it or is there any reason to try and get them all? Or should I just breeze through and get whatever I get on the first try.
Talking early licenses here not the later ones.

Latest update:
Won the Veyron with EASE. That Stealth McLaren F1 is a monster. I've modded it up to 800hp, added chassis stiffening and bought a bunch of tires and it can't be beat. I trashed the JGTC cars like they were standing still... Not going to mod the Veyron until later.
I've been spending truckloads of cash on used cars. I can't help buying awesome used cars I like. So far, I've added a B5 RS4 Avant, a JDM DC2 Integra Type-R, etc. I've seen ALL kinds of hotness like a '69 GT40 race car, a '67 GT350 race car, etc. Keep in mind that after every couple of races, the used cars turn over, so you need to check ALL THE TIME. Make sure you bring your cash with you since there's usually at least one winner in the bunch...
Anyone know if the Veyron counts in the French car race? If so, I don't need to wait for a Clio V6 Mk2...
Last question: Anyone find a big-money race that's easy to win? I am hoping for something like a Daytona oval race that pays like $250K.
Final note - I got one of these in the game (same color - thanks Green for the inspiration):

Get what you can get then redo the golds later - then you get more cars, money, XP.

Haven't found the big $$$ races yet. The last level of GoKart is fairly easy and big $$$, but you can only do it once.
No access to the last level of races either yet.Loeb's 2nd special event is a PITA. A 4 min unknown dirt track in the Alps that gets you DQ'd the second you nudge a wall.
Got the McLaren as well, orange. With race tires on, it is unbelievable.
My Lambo SV is >700hp, matte pink with a big ass wing. It pulls it off.
Haven't bought much yet, mostly prize cars. Nice used cars, but they're 2Mil!

As for the Lambos, you MUST put race tires on them. I set up my LP640 with TC at 2, ASM ON, ABS at 2 with race/hard tires. It's like a new car.
I have to say the Gamestop pre-order combined with the Collector's Edition has netted me some GREAT cars. At this point, I'd buy a $10 pack to get 50,000,000 game credits - so many amazing cars I'd like to buy that cost well over 1 mil each.
