Xbox warranty extension update

Microsoft owns up to "E74" 360 errors, expands warranty - Ars Technica

Friggin MickeySoft...my Xbox failed for this problem, and I contacted them about repairs. I was originally told it was out of warranty and would cost me roughly 100 bucks to fix it - I laughed, told them that is half the cost of a new Xbox console, and said I'm getting an PS3...bubye.

I just had my 360 fixed less than a month ago for this "E74" problem. Guess I'll be getting my money back.

Too bad this is one great console. I have both yet I only play Blu-rays and exclusives on the PS3....
I haven't turned it on to play a video game in quite a while actually, over 6 months is my guess.

I have both and only use my ps3 but I am glad to hear they are owning up to this my brother had this bug. I should just sell my xbox but only keep it because some of my friends have it so online play it's necessary...
