Love this pic....in the snow at the Nordschleife...the far car is the 288 Evoluzione, the precursor development car for the F40. It was the knowledge gained from this car that allowed the F40 to go from Enzo's lips to prototype in less than 1 year !

What does the F40 handle like? I always thought it would be like a giant go-kart?

two modes of transport....

 

less than 20 secs....release both latches, grasp from the front windshield edge and the wheel well, and lift gently to make sure both latches get cleared....the ground clearance when fully lifted is very marginal on the front spoiler....if in doubt, put a cloth or something down so that the front lip doesn't get marred.

 

At low speeds, the steering feels truck heavy (no assist)....come up to speed, and the steering becomes responsive and dart like, and every nuance in the road comes alive in your fingertips.

Incredibly agile, it surges forward on boost with a ferocity that is truly astonishing...if your passenger is unaware, it will scare the shit out of him/her.

Minimally insulated, every rock and chip clatters against the underside of the car, adding to the tactile feel of the car...it is basically arse/seat/road...wonderful !
