Driving in France
I am new to here and just after some advice - my wife and I will be in Paris to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and I thought one evening it would be great to drive around Paris in a luxury car - I read somewhere that this is a great way to see the city in summer and that driving in the evening is fine (at least not as bad as the day time). My first thought was a limo tour, but that is a bit cliched and I would rather have the freedom to drive around as we please, so I am starting to think about renting a car just for the evening - anyone done this, or got any advice as to where we could get a car for an evening - a Porsche would be nice!

Try these guys if you want to rent a convertible in Paris - don't believe those that tell you driving there is impossible - on a warm evening (not so good in high summer) it is a great city to drive around with the top down.

driving in the country of france, not the city of paris, is awesome. people drive in the right land & they have excellent manners (eg, will immediately pull over back into the left after passing someone.) i saw about 2 cops during 10 hours of driving - wish i would've rented a real car.
