2011 Aston Martin DB9 Finish Restoration

Recently completed job on this beautiful "Storm Black" DB9, the owner has had the car only a short while but due to improper washing(Commercial wash) the finish was in terrible condition along with quite a few factory defects(Sand scratches) which are common for Aston's.

Here are a few pre-wash/decon pics.

Deep scratches.

Built up compound on the edges of the trunk(Boot).

After the thorough wash/decon/clay step here is what I needed to correct.

The trunk was especially bad.

Readings were taken and had the thinnnest paint of the entire vehicle(Of course.....) so caution was taken.

The obscured "Flake of the finish" now restored.

Rear bumper on the passenger side had deep marring and factory sand scratches.

No doubt Aston makes a wonderful car...........................but sanding then assembling the vehicle before compounding all the sand scratches out is "Laziness" on their part.

Marker light removed, then a proper corrective process accomplished.

Here is another example of sand scratches "In and around" the DB9 emblem.

Correction without the removal of the emblem.

Sand scratches on thin portion of wheel arch.

Healthy readings(Big relief.....).

After compounding.

Marring near driving light marker.

Clarity restored.

I think instead of "clarity restored" it should be "clarity achieved" You did what the factory failed to do, and then some.

Outstanding work as always. Well done.
