2009 Modified BMW M3 Detail

Recently completed, this modified Alpine White M3 needed some correction to look it's best.

Love the HRE P40S wheels and other subtle mods done to the car.

After wash/clay steps were carried out, the paint correction steps were started. The white finish was difficult to capture some of the defects, thus some pics were taken with different settings on my camera.

50/50 pics of the trunk area.

Marring on drivers door.

Wool pad compounding step.

Marring & RIDS on passenger side door.

After compounding.

Finish after using Meguiars new DA compound.

As the owner has completed a few open track days the lower parts of the car needed some attention.

After clean up.

Finish after polishing.

"B" pillars with the usual marring & RIDS.

Defects removed.

Getting into the tight areas with the DA Polisher.

After the paint correction task was completed, I next moved on to the engine bay.

After clean up before final dressing applied.

Finished engine pics.

Next step was to dismount the wheels for cleaning, while I was at it I re-indexed the center caps to line up with the valve stem cover(small details...).

Center cap lined up.

Dirty wheels.

Cleaned and sealed.

Wheel wells needed some attention.

Akrapovic tightness.........

Cleaning all door jamb areas.

On the home stretch....

As there is "Pilot Cup Sports" on the car, tires were dressed to a low matte finish.

Cleaning edge of the glass(Pet peeve of mine and required step in my shop).

Interior was pretty clean, general wipedown and matte dressing applied. Mats were steamed as well.

Subtle styling mod....Black "Kidney grill".

A few sun pics.

Splendid. You brought out the best in the white finish. The wheel wells really cleaned up well. A little steam perhaps?
