great vids, do you think you could list the info on the backing plate that you use and why you chose it. also, do you ever use the PC 7424? I would love to see how others go from using the makita with a purple lc pad to the PC for final polishing technique, which pads and polishes they use.
I myself (depending on the car and condition it is in) would use the makita with purple or wool pad and then go to the PC and use 106ff with a white lc pad. have never found the need to take another polish to it after that.

As for the backing plate, it's the Meguiar's W66 iirc... it has the foam backing. I like it a lot and it feels much better than the traditional backing plates. I've only briefly tried the 3M plate that's $50-60 and there isn't really a difference..
