I would agree with that.

The grey areas are those fun Sunday morning drives when nobody is awake yet and you have the roads all to yourself to play on. At that time, and that time only, I think it's ok to play race car driver and wear the appropriate gear to get into the part.

On the other hand, I only wear my Sparco gloves outside of the race car when it's freezing cold out and I need to keep my hands warm but still be able to grip the wheel.
