The Macan "S" is not the base model, but rather the "S" trim level.

As it stands no true base model exists. This was the same story when the Cayman and Panamera debuted. In both cases the base models were quietly unveiled.

This is mainly so when all of the magazines and press begin reviewing the cars, only the tarted up "S" and "Turbo" models will be available.

You are correct. I should have explained myself better. The S trim is right now the entry Macan model. So my question remains: are the 340 hp entry level "S" Macan and the 300 hp base Cayenne too close in price?

More importantly, I think this a spot of the base model. The single-tube rectangular tailpipes and the black rev counter are giveaways. More here: http://www.autogespot.com/porsche-macan/2013/11/28

Looking great! Very aggressive.

The blue Macan shown is Sapphire Blue Metallic. It appears that color is hitting all vehicles they make, or close to it. Not available until 10/14. They have a red coming as well. Available around 3/14 prox.

Thanks!

Was thinking about Macan Turbo price split in my spec was 5k euro, but I thought that I doesn't have any sence because I've got 997 turbo s in garage, or maybe till that time it will be 991 turbo s
