Sure it's astonishingly fast in a straight line, and all the tech in this car makes it hide its bulk and size to a certain extent - but it's no 911, or Panamera for that matter. Give me a Diesel Cayenne (as a quick DD with lots of space) and 997.1 GT3 (for fun) for the same money any day. But I would say that, as that's what I've done!

Amen, brother.

One more note - and no offense intended to anyone on here - but I see Cayenne Turbos as a bit extravagant and ridiculous because I continuously fail to see the point of driving a 2+ ton truck at insanely high speeds. I see my Cayenne as extremely fast, and it's "only" a mainstream S model. If anyone wanted to go really fast, I'd see a sportscar or one of the higher-end Panameras as a more suitable, relevant and dynamic alternative.

As they say though, to each his own.

150,000 euros plus taxes and options it will add up to one very expensive SUV.

i have to agree though.. that red interior looks stunning.

Some social circles are all about prestige, there is no proper sense in driving a Cayenne Turbo or Cayenne Turbo S. No offense - but in a society of superficiality and judging people by money a Turbo gets more respect than a diesel.

I had an '09 CTTS and really enjoyed driving it. While it was fun, it was excessive and frankly I had the experience of driving in the snow (over 6 inches) with and without snow tires. Without .. one of the scariest things I've ever done .. with .. it owned the snow. For me, it was a unique experience and I got the 5hit knocked out of me on depreciation. Would not do again. Did I mention it chugged gas?

Luckily those 'social circles' do not appeal to me. Here in the UK they're usually called 'wankers'...

On the flip side, If you can feasibly afford the turbo.. Why not?
