Where are all the Cayennes?

Where are all the Cayennes?
Where are they? Does Porsche really make them? Is the 2011 car real?
I ask becasue I visited two dealers over the weekend and neither had a single car to test drive, sit in or look at on the showroom floor.
All sold.
That's what both dealers said - all sold.
Both had plenty of Panny's on the lot and in the showroom - a few Turbo S's, GT3RS, GT3 etc - but, no Cayenne.
Are they that good that dealers can't keep them in stock? Is there a production issue? Why are there just zero cars around?
(I'm in NY/NJ area).
best,

I think is a marketing action . I had customers wanting the new Caynne i could not find anything for them for many weekes. Now however, the situation has changed a bit. You can find cars on stock , but very few. Still i don't think that they will be built in less numbers. The Cayenne is the best seller of the brand by far and i think they only want to assure the desirability of the model , so that can make it a successfull folower for the previous model. You cannot find it , you will want it even more. If you can import one from Germany i can give you a contact that has one brand new Cayenne S , with lots of options.

Thanks - but I'm in the US - Also doesnt help the "I need a car now" problem I have.
There are car's around - the ones I'm being shown are way way overbuilt - PCCB, Burmeister etc - I can have one tomorrow, but sticker is $147,500! Dealer wont budge on that number also.
That's a car that wont loose $30K - it will loose $55K overnight.
You shouldn't ever over option your Porsche. You have to know when to say enough :-)
